Shibuya and Daikanyama are two of Tokyo's most popular areas, and we are opening a new house here, Hebel Stay Daikanyama! It's a high-end apartment fully furnished with furniture, appliances, and even great services!
The house is great already... but what about the rest of the area? We explored the stylish town around Hebel Stay Daikanyama.

One of the great aspects of Hebel Stay Daikanyama is its extremely convenient location. From the house, you can use the Tokyu Toyoko line from Daikanyama station, or head to JR Shibuya station, both in just a 6 minutes walk. From Shibuya station you can use 6 metro subway lines or the JR lines, so it's perfect wherever you need to go for work or school. Also, there is a huge number of buses that go to and from Shibuya station, so with just a little research you can see just how much ground you can cover in Tokyo! We recommend this place if you work or go to school along the Toyoko line.

Everything you need is just 5 minutes away
The thing you might worry about the most when you move to a new place is whether you can easily get everything you need for your daily life. The closest convenience store is just a minute away, a Natural Lawson store. They have an eat-in space and outdoor terrace, with a cafe next door. Of course you can get things you need every day here, but they also have a great selection of food and drinks. If you need a more robust grocery store, the Peacock Store is just a few more minutes further down the road in the Daikanyama 17dixsept building, which also has other stores including dry cleaning, places to eat and drink, shop, and more.

Speaking of eating and drinking, there are more restaurants and cafes around here than you might know what to do with! In fact, the cafe right next to the Natural Lawson (again, 1 minute away) is the Urth Caffe. They have pizza, salads, sweets, and they are almost always full at lunch time. If you're more health-minded, there is a cafe on the first floor of the building right next to Hebel Stay Daikanyama, the one with the Flux Conditions gym, that we recommend. Also, if you move in to Hebel Stay Daikanyama, you can get a discount on a gym membership there! The cafe there is geared toward their customers too.

Every one unique, but you can't go wrong here
If you do a web search for "Daikanyama restaurants cafes", you'll get tons of results. It can be hard to wade through. So we decided to make our own recommendations!

Our #1 recommendation for a cafe restaurant in Daikanyama is Unice, near the station. They have a reasonably-priced lunch and cafe menu. At night there are often parties here for a fun atmosphere.
If you like Japanese sake, 5 minutes away from Hebel Stay Daikanyama is Mirai Nihonshu. This deliberately old-style store has a carefully chosen selection of sake, and they can help out. You can bring in food too.

Sure, you can find lots of great things hidden away in side streets in Shibuya or Daikanyama, but it's a lot easier to find places that are on main roads. That said, even if you do find yourself lost in the back streets, you'll surely stumble across nice select shops, restaurants, and cafes. One such places is Grigio, a delicious place with reasonable prices and tasty food.
Also, we can't forget Banks, easily the cream of the crop in the pancake wars. They change their menu by the season, but typically have 6 types of pancakes. To be honest, it's really hard to explain just how good they are! They look dense, but are light and moist and melt away in your mouth. We let our stomachs get ahead of ourselves and ordered 2 places. Beware of overeating! :)

As you can see, Daikanyama has tons of shops and restaurants. We wore ourselves out exploring side streets. You walk a little bit, come across an interesting shop, look in, look around... rinse and repeat. It's an exciting place day or night. Plus, you could live an a serviced apartment, in this neighborhood!

And Hebel Stay Daikanyama is that serviced apartment. The rooms have a queen-sized bed, sofa, 40-inch TV with 56 channels of cable TV, a full set of cookery and dinnerware, and oven range. There's also a washing and drying machine. Plus, there's bi-weekly cleaning, and linen change. All of this, just 6 minutes from 2 train stations!
